Rail & Logistics

Kallipr works with some of Australia’s largest logistics and rail organisations helping them to meet safety requirements and regulations, achieve cost savings via reductions in delays and deliver more efficient supply chain processes.

In supply chain and manufacturing, data from machines, production lines, and remote assets can be monitored and tracked, with the ability to trigger alarms based on scenarios or certain criteria.

Our Captis solution can capture and compile data on the device and in the cloud to assist these organisations with making intelligent decisions on their business operations.

In addition, the Captis solution is currently used to monitor remote rail and logistic networks, including measuring rail pits, track vibration, track temperature, ambient air temperature, water levels and weather events, to enable operators to meet their safety compliance and regulatory responsibilities, whilst ensuring the train or truck gets from A to B most efficiently.

RAIL PIT MONITORING

Across rail networks rail pits can fill with silt, sand and debris, causing them to hold water when it rains, or even flood across the tracks. This causes major disruptions to the rail network but also causes pits to degrade. The Captis Rail Pit Monitoring Kit can be installed directly into the pit and alert when it’s starting to fill with water, and when it’s at risk of overflow. This allows the network operator to proactively manage the maintenance of the pit and reduce overflow and flooding events.

Rail Temperature Monitoring

The Captis solution can be installed in the harshest, most remote areas, and can withstand extreme temperatures and weather conditions. Meaning it’s an ideal solution to monitor rail networks for ambient temperatures, rail track temperatures and weather events – feeding that data back to a central hub. The Captis on-board alarm capabilities provides real-time data to assist in decision making for applying network speed limits, ultimately reducing delay minutes and saving organisations millions of dollars.

Cargo Temperature Monitoring

The Captis product can be installed alongside cargo rail networks to measure and monitor ambient air temperature and rail temperature to optimise the delivery of goods from A to B.

Weather Station

Measure temperature and rainfall in remote regions using a high-accuracy rain and temperature gauge connected to a Captis system, rather than rely on official weather data gathered from a station that could be located up to 100km away. This system can also be effectively paired with temperature or wind sensors to create a comprehensive weather monitoring solution that reports remotely over a cellular network.

One device for your ecosystem

1. The Captis Data Logger

The Captis device is installed in the field and configured over-the-air to support the required use case.

2. Sensors or Meters

Sensors in the field record and monitor the environment, resources and/or equipment and pass data to the Captis device.

4. Log Your Data

Kallipr Kloud processes this data and translates into relevant sensor readings. These readings may trigger alarms and notifications if this falls below or exceeds certain parameters or predefined rules.

3. Captis sends to the Cloud

The Captis device sends this data to Kallipr Kloud via the CAT-M1 / NB-IOT network. The Captis device can be configured to send at a specific time or based on events.
